Drop Down Menu

My husband and I retired at the end of September and since then, for the last three months, we have had to sit tight as building renovations were carried out on our home.

As such, I haven't had the time to be involved in the miniature world via Instagram/Facebook/Pinterest or Blogger.

At the weekend I found a couple of messages on my Google drive, probably months old, saying people were having problem accessing files from there via the drop down menu on this Blog. It turns out, after some investigating, that Google, in their infinite wisdom, updated something which altered the location of the files.

Maybe it was a good thing - my google drive was a mess and hard to navigate. It has since prompted me to arrange the folders into a more cohesive collection; food packaging with be stored together, 3D files in one place, etc. That way, as I design new items, (no, I won't be hanging up my tools any time soon and yes, I still intend to share anything I make for others to have), I can add the downloadable file into a single folder.

But my worry is that if I provide the link to the folder, (which is listed under the headings of this blog), can you access and download the individual files contained within the folder?

If you see this post and have had any trouble gaining access to the files within any of the folders, please let me know.

Johnson's Cotton Buds

I've been busy making Baby related items for a customer recently, which was hard. Hard because A) I don't physically have them to measure and scale down and B) I don't know anyone with a baby who can gift me those items. However, a local baby and toddlers group came to the rescue when I asked for help and said I could rake through their store cupboard.

Hurrah!

Anyway, long story short - the 3D print file for the Johnson's Cotton Buds is available from the drop down menu on the blog for anyone wanting to make their own.

Harry Potter spine candles

SHIT, has it really been six months since I posted here? I really am terrible at social media, but, when I have some goodies to share I'm sure you'll forgive me.

It's close to Halloween so I thought I'd make the Harry Potter spine candles. As always, the STL file is free and can be downloaded from the main page, 3D STL drop down menu. There are two variations:

One with a 2mm cutout down the spine so you can feed wiring through if you want to electrify the candle. The other is solid with no cutout.

 Enjoy!

Eggbox STL Files

I'm horrendously bad at updating this blog with new files. I have hundreds to do and I will catch up eventually.

I've uploaded three new STL files for 3D print (download the files from the '3D STL' drop down menu in the blog header). A closed 6 egg eggbox, a 10 egg eggbox and an open 10 egg eggbox. All have been printed successfully on my Elegoo Mars Pro 2. The closed boxes were printed directly onto the plate, without supports, on their lids. The open eggbox needs supports.

Happy miniaturing.

Music Albums

I've started to add some album covers to the blog, (you can download them for free from the Printies dropdown menu in the page header). I had a mind to do a sheet-per-artist and then thought better of it. Most people have an eclectic taste in music so I've added a mixture to each page. If, there are any specific albums you want and can't find, drop me a comment and I'll add them to the next sheet I do.

Below is a step-by-step of how I make them, in case you wondered 😉

12th scale Strongbow Original Cider 10 can pack

Left click on the picture above to open the downloadable file. From there you can print it (A4 sheet on best/high quality settings) or save it for later use. A word to the wise; photography paper prints with a lot of black ink can smudge if you don't have a decent printer. You may have to spray the paper with printguard to protect it :/
